Wonder Why Modern Science Is Western Science?

Wonder why modern science is Western science? There is a reason. The Chinese invented gun powder., the Arabs delivered us from Roman Numerals, and, for the most part the rest of modern science came out of Medieval Europe in the late middle ages.
I took a class where the professor enjoyed telling about an experience from a previous class. “I told them to write their answers and number them with Arabic numerals.” He enjoyed telling how one student wrote “I am using Roman Numerals because I don’t know how to do Arabic numerals.” Here, from the Oxford English Dictionary, their definition:
Arabic numeral
Noun: any of the numerals 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. Arabic numerals reached western Europe (replacing Roman numerals) through Arabia by about A.D. 1200 but probably originated in India.

In that era Europe was called Christendom because the faith was widespread, and it was the dominant world view. The scientists had a common belief that a rational God would create a rational world. They set about to “think God’s thoughts after Him.”(Johannes Kepler, scientist and mathematician, 1571 - 1630 A.D.) This quest to find the rationality that God put into the world could never have risen out of:
Pantheism or any “local” gods concept.
Or the idea that all is an illusion.
Or Hinduism that embraces the idea of millions of gods.
Or Buddhism that teaches that the world IS god.
Or from the evolutionary view that the “blind, mindless and non-purposeful” process created everything.
It was the accepted rationality of God that was the foundational starting point of modern science! The reason that modern science is Western science is the gospel of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, had swept Europe. The New Testament (N.T.) records establish the divinity of Jesus. Each book in the N.T. claims its authority not on the death, but on the resurrection of Jesus, the personal, powerful, healing, forgiving, and death conquering Son of God, Deity.
Europe was called Christendom because the Gospel reigned there.
It was posited by the scientists that a rational God would create a rational world.
This changes everything when you are asking the WHY questions. It explains the universality of the laws of Physics. It explains their consistency and dependability. It explains their know ability, and intelligibility, and discoverability. It explains their dense, deep information. All of which correspond with God and not with a “blind, mindless and purposeless” process, which again is how Dawkins describes “natural selection.” The rules and knowledge contained in the laws are discoverable with sufficient research. This research would result in modern technology.
In 1967 the National Cash Register Company, ranked about 97th in size of the companies in the United States. They had an annual budget in research and development of $26 million dollars - a million dollars invested every two weeks. When you add the Research & Development investments of the larger companies, and the aggregate investments of more than half a century since, it tells us how dense the information is and the secrets are. Billions invested have given us modern technology.
Why are the laws of physics so dense with information and data? How did it get there? Why is it discernible, intelligible, and attainable? If you don’t like the God answer, you will need substantial faith to go along with the answer of the evolutionists -none. They offer no answer.
The theory of evolution has no answers. Or rather the answer of God is not acceptable to them and they hope the rest of us don’t notice. They prefer to credit an explosion! Don’t try that at home! (Smile) They know that most everyone acquainted with computers knows the phrase GIGO or “garbage in, garbage out,” referring to programming and data input. The integrity of the data and information contained in the laws of physics settles the question (Unless you are fleeing) of Who put the data in and Who created mankind in a form so that they could be equipped to decipher. If the existence of God is your worst nightmare you will go to any extreme and accept any absurdity to avoid God. Such as nothing creating everything. (That is a Powerful insight)
Modern science and modern technology depend on the laws of physics and their reliability, dependability and their intelligibility and discoverability. This is the foundation of the prestige of the scientists who turn around and use the prestige to destroy awareness of the One that made it all possible. They are enemies of God. Pray for them.
